"All of a sudden, I'm not receiving any emails, and I know people are sending them to me! Help!"
The most common cause of this is that your domain has expired. We have found that many people do not update their contact information with their registrar when it changes, and as a result, the do not get the renewal notices when their domain's expiry is looming.
If you registered your domain name through Retrix, you can renew it online by visiting our Service Centre. If you do not know your username and/or password, use the "Forgot your password?" link.
Here are some tips to avoid this from happening to you:
- Make sure you either register or transfer your domains through Retrix (us). Unlike most companies, we go out of our way to contact you if we see that you are not renewing your domain.
- Keep your contact information (working email address is most important) up-to-date with your registrar.
- When you register or renew your domain, add a reminder into your favourite calendar software (eg. Apple iCal (free), Google Calendar (free), Microsoft Outlook (not free), etc.) or PDA for 11 months from the date of registration or renewal.
Once a domain has expired, you are unfortunately forced to renew it using the existing registrar; however, once you have renewed it, you can transfer the domain to us using our
Service Centre. The transfer extends the expiry date by an additional year, so you won't have to worry about renewing for two whole years!
You will need to use the following DNS (Domain Name Server) information when registering your domain:
Primary DNS: strongmad.retrix.com (64.34.98.4)
Secondary DNS: coachz.retrix.com (64.69.91.125)
